Your rights when using Polymorphism
Last updated: April 2, 2026
Building in public. This document is part of a technology demonstration. It has not been reviewed or approved by legal counsel and does not constitute legal advice, a binding agreement, or a final policy. Polymorphism is an Alberta home-care marketplace prototype built to showcase platform architecture โ not a live service accepting clients or caregivers at this time.
We believe people coordinating home care deserve clarity. While specific statutory rights vary by province and program, we commit to the following principles for users of Polymorphism:
- Transparency โ plain-language explanations of how matching works and who receives your information.
- Control โ ability to update contact details and withdraw marketplace introductions where technically feasible without breaking legal record-keeping.
- Dignity โ no dark patterns that obscure fees, wait times, or agency independence.
- Security โ reasonable safeguards for data you entrust to the platform.
This page is not a substitute for government-issued patient or client bills of rights that may apply to regulated providers in Alberta. Those documents remain authoritative for clinical services.
